Welcome to Travel Maximus

Hello and Welcome to Travel Maximus.

My name is Daravuth Lam and I have always been enamored by Travel. I love it to the point that I am constantly thinking about traveling. Traveling allows me to be free, provides my taste buds to experience new (and strange) cuisine, stimulates my curiosity with new languages, and satisfies my fascination with architectures. I especially love making new friends. This sweetest chance I have only to lose it when it turns to sorrow when I say Goodbye.

Most important of all, to me, traveling opens the door through which I see things and people that literally changed my life. I saw innovations that I never saw in the United States such as small, compact turbo diesel cars that consistently get more than 60 MPG plus. I saw poor indigenous people who cannot afford farm equipment but resort to makeshift bamboo tools and water buffaloes.

Traveling enables me to learn through Socratic Questioning in Thinking, Teaching, and Learning. What little knowledge I possess, I share. What I lack, I learn through thinking and questioning (how I wish Socrates is alive today and be my Mentor).

I love to travel so much that I feel it would be unforgiveable for me to travel and enjoy alone. Hence, I created this Travel Maximus Blog so that I can share my traveling experience with those who can’t take this precious journey with me, wherever in the world I travel.
